Albert Schweitzer said, “Example is not the main thing in influencing others. It is the only thing.” I believe leadership is about action, not words. In the FDNY, that means preparing diligently, staying calm under pressure, and serving with integrity so others can follow with confidence. By setting the standard through my own conduct, I aim to inspire trust and guide both my peers and the next generation of firefighters.
