In the bible it says “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.” (Matthew 7:12). Leadership by example creates a mutual respect amongst hierarchies within organizations. Graduating from a military school I was able to learn from some of the greatest military leaders the United States of America has ever seen. The management and operation of an organization lies deeply within the philosophy and intent of leaders. When a leader does not take initiative to always be better because “they are on top” no one wants to follow them. Being respected by those around you is directly correlated with the way you treat others. Leading by example puts you right along side the man to your left and right by doing everything they do and not taking shortcuts. This helps with overall management and operation of an organization. Receiving this scholarship will help me enhance the management and operation through the ability to take additional courses to enhance my leadership skills.
