Mr. Nicholas S. Ramsey

I believe that in order to lead, you have to be reliable, be willing to serve others and most of all, have integrity. People have to be able to trust you and know that you have their best interest in mind and not your own selfish interests. I truly believe respect will come to those who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work side by side doing the same job that their subordinates are doing. By not asking them to do anything that you would not do, will not go unseen. Being reliable and having integrity are of utmost importance. If you say you are going to do something, do it. Honesty is a must, even when it is difficult. The difficult situations must be addressed with compassion and honesty. They will respect you for it. Integrity is a must in order to lead effectively. Thomas Jefferson said, “Whenever you do a thing, act as if the whole world were watching.” My philosophy is simple but can be very challenging at times. Stand beside those under your supervision, not behind them, be reliable and hold onto you integrity as if your life depends on it.
