John Quincy Adams said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, or become more, you are a leader.” His words hit at the heart of what I believe is central to leadership: leaders inspire growth and change. It is my goal to lead in this manner. As a trainer, I hope that members leave my classes inspired to improve their skills and dig into subjects. As a lieutenant, I aspire to be a leader that encourages growth and development in every member of my crew. As a writer, I attempt to honestly evaluate topics and use my platform to help others think through issues in new ways. And as a friend and mentor I hope that my character motivates others to live bold and courageous lives.
