The Yvorra Leadership Development Foundation (YLD) is currently accepting applications for scholarships and monetary awards aimed at aspiring leaders in fire services, EMS, hazardous materials (hazmat), emergency management, and homeland security, including military personnel in similar roles. Applications will be accepted until the end of October 2024.

Five YLD scholarships, each up to $4,000, will be awarded, and one special project award of up to $10,000 is available.

To apply for a scholarship, complete an online application and submit three letters of reference. The awards committee will then place your application into one of several namesake scholarship categories.

One of the namesake scholarships is the John M. Eversole Endowment. In 2007, YLD established this award with the generous support from family, friends, professional associations, and corporations across the United States. This endowment provides awards and scholarships specifically for members of the hazardous materials response community.
