Castle Rock Colorado Firefighter Awarded 2023 YLD Scholarship

Caleb McNeil, distinguished as a 2023 Yvorra Leadership Development Foundation (YLD) scholarship recipient, brings a wealth of expertise to his role as a firefighter within the Castle Rock, Colorado, Fire and Rescue Department (CRFD). McNeil describes himself as a dedicated team member, he stands ready to respond to any 911 call involving fire, rescue, or EMS, embodying the CRFD mission of “Providing high customer satisfaction through quality preparation and excellent service” with utmost seriousness.

With an impressive 11-year tenure at CRFD, McNeil has consistently demonstrated excellence, marked by continuous growth and improvement. Beyond his routine duties, he assumes pivotal roles as one of the lead trainers and program managers for CRFD’s technical rescue team. His extensive certifications, including Confined Space Rescue, Rope Rescue, Trench Rescue, Structural Collapse Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, and Hazmat Rescue, underscore his commitment to enhancing the department’s capabilities.

The Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department (CRFD), an accredited agency since 2012, is an all-hazards emergency department with a crucial role in safeguarding the community. Comprising five stations with approximately 100 personnel, CRFD extends its services across sixty-six square miles, protecting a population of about 90,000 residents.
